Private Sector Energy Efficiency (PSEE) Conference
12-13 October 2015 - Wanderers Club, Johannesburg

Managing our energy futures

The Private Sector Energy Efficiency (PSEE) Conference, held over 12 and 13 October 2015, saw an unprecedented collective gathering of government, civil society and private sector parties to discuss solution-based proposals for securing South Africa’s energy futures. With an overwhelming demand for energy, globally and in South Africa, practical solutions needed to be identified urgently in order to secure our energy futures, and over two days that is what industry leaders and experts sought to achieve at the conference. The attendees discussed an array of energy matters, with a particular focus on Energy Efficiency Finance and Technology, and Energy Efficiency in Buildings and in Transport and Logistics. The conference also showcased the energy efficiency opportunities identified by the PSEE since its launch in December 2013, in addition to the benefits energy efficiency has, and can have, in reducing costs in the private sector and collective demand on the national grid.
