49M’s recently launched an initiative to encourage South Africans to be drivers for social and behavioural change by knowing their home energy consumption number. You can discover your number by using the online calculator that you’ll find at http://knowyournumber.co.za/calculator/.

Also consult the table below – supplied by Eskom – for a better understanding of the amount of electricity consumed by individual appliances to help you cut down where you can, at home and in the office.
